WTF?

Why isn't this called an FAQ?

Since nobody has really ever a'd a q, let alone f a'd a q, I couldn't really justify calling it that. However, I anticipate that people who stumble in here may find themselves asking "WTF?", and hence, I've called this a "WTF?"

What is KevlarLounge.net?

KevlarLounge.net is a website to accompany a community forum that started in October '04, about 6 months before this site. The Kevlar Lounge forums consist of a number of individuals who came together, in large part, through other forums (primarily the XBOX forums and BizarreCreations forums). We are, at the core, a group of uber-nerds who spend more time than they should playing games on XBOX Live and posting to the forums.

Yeah, I don't get it. What's the website for?

Drop the attitude. It doesn't have a particular mandate. However, the forumites do things like have competitions and we need a resting ground for the scoreboards and that sort of thing. That's where the site comes in handy. Generally, it's for hosting things of interest to the community... plus the URL is easier to remember than the forum URL.

Why does the site suck so bad?

Drop the attitude. It sucks because I don't know what I'm doing. Years ago I learned HTML and all the bad practices that came with that in the late 90s. Now I'm trying in earnest to learn proper HTML and CSS. On top of that I've decided to use PHP to make this site a little more functional, and I'm desperately trying to built in some MySQL interaction to expand the overall functionality of the site. If you didn't understand what that meant then don't criticize it.

Who contributes to KevlarLounge.net?

Anyone who would like to contribute content to the site is free to do so. So far I'm acting as the gatekeeper, but I'd be happy to work in material from anyone in the community.

How can I join the Kevlar Lounge?

If for some reason you're interested in being a part of this community come by the forums (click the link on the left), create a profile, and tell us a little bit about yourself and/or how you found us. Again, we're mostly a community of XBOX gamers, but for the most part that's not that important to the overall feel of the forums... it just helps.
